ALAN MARTZ
PHOTOGRAPHY
Much of my youth was spent exporing the forests, lakes, and streams of the rural midwest from morning to dusk. From the heavy damp chill and stillness of the woods after a rain that filled the senses to biting blizzards and the changing of the seasons, being outdoors was an immersive experience. Unusual opportunities to travel through Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa early in life further inspired me to explore more of the natural world. Studying geology at university in the West, I was intrigued by many grand and unusual landscapes and decided to start permanently surrounding myself with these natural wonders through photography. Over the course of forty years I have accumulated a collection of photographs exploring the grand and the curious, and the design and artistry in nature that I hope you find interesting.
